I've gone through mass, semi-mass produced,and micro-brewed varieties in my
years of loving rootbeer. Definitely the best I've had was homemade but
failing the availability of that I will reach for a Boylan's before any
other. Uses cane sugar, natural flavors and mostly other good stuff.

We are lucky, our local microbrewery (St Arnold) makes decent root beer, but
they remove the alcohol :-(

I'm a big fan of Berghoffs, though mostly at the now closed eatery -
we've tasted the bottled variety and it's very good (and avail. in
mosy of the midwest!)

I remember that thread - it got quite long and heated. My vote was for
