each for the first 5 items (a sleeve of 5 tins was considered 1 item).
Then it went to $2.50 for every item individually (each tin in the
sleeve was charged $2.50 shipping).
I admit that even with the shipping charge the price is still pretty

As mentioned, I wanted a couple of cheap cutters for my golf bag. JR had
them at one cent, and $2.50 each for shipping.
Great deal, ya know -- a fifty cent clipper is now $2.51.

a) They're $1, here.
b) ...but that's only if you walk to the door. Getting a guy to bag it
up & bring it to your door would cost extra.
$2.51 for a $1 cutter delivered to your door is quite a deal, actually!
Yes.

Correct. Packing problems are one of the ways mathematicians
earn their keep. When I was in grad school, FingerHut (in
Omaha) hired a professor and 3 of his students for the Summer
to work out an algorithm for deciding which size box to
pack an order in. Their current algorithm was using up

How 'bout this for a scheme:
Free shipping on all orders over $250.00.
I'd buy way more stuff to try to save a couple of bucks. <BG>

You get a box and look at how your product fits, and if there is too much

got no control anymore and you can tell that by the operations of the
company, the offering they have and what they have done within there
humidors in the stores. They still have a good selection and good
